As with anything you take on or endeavor to do, there is usually some sort of planning that precedes the act of doing. Last year I wrote about the renewal of goals and cleansing of your intentions for the beginning of the year. I talked about how we all get that sense of having a fresh start once the new year hits. I wrote these articles after January 1st, when I was in the euphoria of starting new.
Taking it a step further this year, I realized there is another level to prepping for this renewal. Most ladies can relate to the term “nesting“. When a woman is pregnant, she goes through a phase where organizing, cleaning out, and setting up for the baby happens. I realized this year that I do the same thing every November/December in preparation for the changes I plan to make in the new year.
I am not saying everyone does this… but why not? It is a great way to be ready to start fresh. So let’s get started with your own personal process of getting ready for the brand new changes we are about to take on. Clean off your desk, recycle old papers you thought you might need but haven’t looked at in months or years, and wash off your phone, computer screen, keyboard and work space. I challenge you to feel ready to take on your new plans in the New Year!
